Zackery "Zack" James Cothran, age 23, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023.

Born December 21,1999 in Hall County, GA, he was a son of Kim and Mike Babbitt.

Zack was a 2018 graduate of Stephens County High School. He worked as a mechanic at Lake Hartwell Chevrolet and more recently was employed by BorgWarner in Seneca.

Whether he was fishing, hiking, camping, golfing, or skiing, Zack loved being outdoors.  He enjoyed attending car and gun shows with his friends, mechanical work, working with cars, spending time with his friends and family, and serving the Lord.

Family members in addition to his parents include, his brother Grant Babbitt; sister Autumn Babbitt; grandmother, Kathy Cothran; grandparents, Bob and Laura Babbitt, Robin and Bob Tobin; and Matt and Tammy Griffin; aunts and uncles, Crystal and Josh Teague, Robert and Marie Lupinek, and Joey and Tina Griffin; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Zack was preceded in death by his "Papa" Mike Cothran and his great-grandparents.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm – 8pm Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Tom's Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Marcus and the Rev. Evan Alexander officiating.

Burial will follow at Tom's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jonathan Zeches, Zack Murray, Chris Collier, Nathan Crump, Grant Babbitt, and Gavin Teague.
