Mr. William Eugene Wood, age 90, of Toccoa, GA passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born August 9, 1933 in Homer, GA, he was the son of the late Jesse and Eunice Ward Wood.

He was a builder at Trogdon Furniture, retired from Coats & Clark, and was of the Baptist faith.  He was also a United States Army Veteran.

Family members include his daughters, Sheila Pressley (Tim) and Lorraine Palmer (James Burrell); grandchildren, Shelly Chaffin, Greg Ballenger, Robert Burrell, LeeAnn Ramsey, Shade Palmer, Kline Pressley and Zane Pressley; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilee, Elizabeth, Logan, Kaytlin, Will, Isaac and Isabella; and great-great grandchildren, Gracen, Colton and Kaycen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, "Jackie" Alma Jacqueline Collins Wood; sisters, Doris Bray and Effie Smith; and brother, Luther Wood.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12pm until the service hour Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Sunday, April 14, 2024 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

Greg Ballenger, Wyatt Cannon, Kline Pressley, Zane Pressley, Randy Collins and Randy Hudgins will serve as pallbearers.
