William Henry Roberts

Bill was born September 26, 1946 in Daytona Beach, FL.  He joined the Lord in his heavenly home on December 13, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Gulledge Robers; brothers, Lonnie Roberts, Roger Roberts, Ricky Roberts, and Michael Roberts, all from Daytona Beach, FL.

Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Luella Sue Milewski Roberts of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Donna Roberts of Demorest, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and David B. Shanks of Toccoa; grandchildren, Brittany Roberts, Karrie Roberts, Ahmia Roberts, William Shanks, Joshua Shanks, and Georgianna Shanks; great-grandchildren, Kira, Elijah, Skyler, and Holly; sisters, Barbara Burns and Geneva Brown; brother, Donald Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Encounter Church of Toccoa where he served as a board member, deacon, small group leader, and a teacher.  Bill served faithfully through the jail house ministry for the last 15 years.  He was a man who worked hard and loved deeply.  He loved the Lord and was always about the Lord's business.  Bill was retired from Hayes Chevrolet as a Master Technician.  He also taught auto mechanics at North Georgia Technical College.

Memorial services will be held at two o'clock Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Encounter Church with Pastor Joshua Garner officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Encounter Church on Thursday from 12 noon until the service.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
