Tony Alan Youngblood, Toccoa GA

Mr. Tony Youngblood, age 66 of Toccoa, GA went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2023.

Tony Youngblood was born in Toccoa, Stephens County Georgia.  He was the son of the late Hubert and Betty Roper Youngblood and was preceded in death by sister Susan Lewallen.

Tony grew up in Stephens County and attended Stephens Co. High School. After high school, Tony was employed by Coats American where he worked in the Dyehouse. He attended Truett McConnel College while working. After many years with Coats American, he joined the Franklin County Sherriff Department and served as a Certified Detention Officer, where he was recognized as Employee of the Year in 2000 and Detention Officer of the Year in 2006.  He worked there until his Retirement.

Tony was a devout Christian and first came to know Christ as his Savior at Calvary Baptist Church.  In his later years he attended Ebenezer Baptist Church with his daughter.    He was a member of the Lavonia Lodge No 241 Free and Accepted Masons of Georgia.

Tony is survived by his brother, Scott Youngblood (Doris) of Toccoa, GA. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children; Stacy Youngblood Miller (Bryan) of Toccoa, GA and Jacob Alan Youngblood (Mollie) of Riverton, IL; three grandchildren, Ella Miller of Toccoa, GA, Arthur Youngblood and Charlotte Youngblood of Riverton, IL.
