Mr. Roy Terry Lawson, age 74, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born March 3, 1947 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Roy Clyde and Pauline Kirby Lawson.

He was a member of the Toccoa Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired welder having worked with Dempster and Patterson Pump.  Terry loved being a grandfather and he was an avid supporter of any sporting event they were involved in.

Family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Chad Andrews; son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Alyssa Lawson; grandchildren, Bronson, Ivey, and Eve Andrews, Amber, Kinsley, and Kirby Gayle Lawson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice English and Art Conway, Gail and Herb Turner, and Linda Stephens Berry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6 pm until 8 pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 and from 12 noon until 1:30 pm on Friday, March 19, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday, March 19, 2021from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Scott Collett officiating.

Cremation will follow.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
