Mr. Ronald Edward "Ron" Dunn, age 70, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born January 13, 1951 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Frank and Doris Maxwell Dunn.

He was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church and attended Tates Creek Baptist Church.  Ron taught several subjects at Stephens County Middle School and was also the basketball coach.  He taught high school and middle school and coached high school and middle school basketball in South Georgia and in Montgomery, TX for several years before moving back to Stephens County.

Family members include his wife, Mona Manning Dunn;  sons and a daughter-in-law, Aron and Anna June Dunn of Las Vegas, and Dawson Dunn of Toccoa; daughter and son-in-law, Morgan and David Cates of Eugene, OR; grandchildren, Sibley Cates and Romy Cates both of Eugene, OR; and his sister, Brenda Stovall of Dallas, TX.

Memorial services will be held at one o'clock Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Tates Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty and Coach Max Sparks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church following the service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Ron to Tates Creek Baptist Church at P. O. Box 2019 Toccoa, GA 30577.
