Mr. Roger Dale Smith, age 72, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born February 4, 1951 in Toccoa, he was a son of the late Robert "Lonzo" and Monteen Ward Smith.

Mr. Smith was a United States Army Veteran and of the Christian faith. He was an avid golfer and played several days a week with his friends.  He retired from North Georgia Hardwood.

Family members include brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Glenda Smith of Toccoa and Marion and Nancy Smith of Pensacola, Fl; step-son, Bryan Kesler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Chad Kesler; and brothers, Quinnin Smith and Terry Smith.

A memorial service hosted by the family will be held at two o'clock, Sunday, January 28, 2024 at New Bethel Baptist Church in Carnesville.
