Mr. Roger Owen Dooley, age 77, of Toccoa passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at Stephens County Hospital.

Born December 1, 1946 in Toccoa, he was a son of the late Clyde Owen and Betty Ruth Head Dooley.

Mr. Dooley was a member of Toccoa Church of Christ.  He was a United States Army Veteran having served 2 years in the Vietnam War and 18 years in the United States Army Reserves.

Family members include his wife of 53 years, Patricia Dooley; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie and Jimmy Blanton of Peachtree City, GA, and Heather Dooley and Cynthia Hanna of Jacksonville, FL; a grandson, Dakota Blanton; sister, Elizabeth Caldwell; brothers, Terry Dooley and Rex Dooley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Gail Charles.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 4pm – 6pm Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Toccoa Church of Christ with Preacher Ed Owens officiating.

Burial will follow at the Toccoa City Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Randy Wood, Robert Gunn, Tony Barrett, Andy Barrett, Kent McCoy, and David Herman
