Mr. Roberto Mendez-Cuadro, age 85, of Toccoa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born on April 17, 1940, in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Tomas Mendez and Mercedes Cuadro-Mendez.

Roberto was of the Catholic faith, a proud United States Army Veteran, and a retired air-conditioner repairman. He was a hardworking, dependable, and devoted man who spent his life providing for and caring for his family. Above all, Roberto was an incredible husband, father, and grandfather whose love was shown through his strength, generosity, guidance, and unwavering dedication to those he loved most.

He was the kind of man who always put his family first, making sure they were cared for, supported, and loved. His presence brought comfort, stability, and strength to his home. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his caring heart, and the deep love he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished so deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Nives Mendez; his sons and daughters-in-law, Roberto (Keiome) Mendez of Cumming, Georgia, Miguel (Maria) Mendez of Hudson, Florida, and Luis (Nancy) Mendez of Toccoa, Georgia; his grandchildren, Adrienne Poe, Robert Mendez, Christopher Mendez, Joshua Mendez, and Christopher Mendez; and his brother, Federico Mendez.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jose Mendez and Hector Mendez.

In accordance with Roberto's wishes, he will be cremated.
