Obituary

Mrs. Robbie Hulsey Nations, age 86, of Eastanollee, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at her home.

Born May 8, 1940 in Madison County, GA, she was the daughter of the late George "Elmer" and Mary Ann Drake Hulsey, Sr.

Mrs. Nations was a retired school bus driver from the Stephens County and Habersham County School Systems, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  She loved to sing,  and was an original member of The Singing Saints.  She was a dancer with the Currahee Squares, and was a band chaperone for 25 years.  She was active with Special Education ARC, led a singing group with Avita, and worked with the Boys & Girls Club.

Family members include her daughter, Polly Nations Thomas (Tony), of Toccoa; sons, Mark Nations (Kim) of Eastanollee and Tim Nations (Donna) of Toccoa; grandchildren, Becky Cash (Mickey), Melissa Kloss (Michael), Brittany Oliver,  Beth Smith (Josh), Krisha Nations, Aly Nations and Jamie Nations; great-grandchildren, Dylan Cash (Kara), Colter Cash (Chloe), Finlee Kloss, Tennasyn Smith, Jacob Tyler and Jeremie Tyler; great-great-grandson, Boone Cash; sister, Lorene Doud (Danny); dear friend, Annette Looney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lewis Nations; brother, George Elmer Hulsey, Jr; and best friend, Louise Collins.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of PruittHealth Hospice for the loving care they provided to Mrs. Nations.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1:00pm – 2:45pm Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday, July 26, 2026 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Dr. Jesse Colbert and the Rev. Bradley Collins officiating.

Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Nations' grandsons will serve as pallbearers:  Mickey Cash, Michael Kloss, Josh Smith, Dylan Cash, Colter Cash and Jamie Nations. Great- grandson Finlee Kloss will serve as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Building Fund at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1095 Ayersville Road, Toccoa, GA  30577, or to the Stephens County Senior Center, 55 Rose Lane Park Drive, Toccoa, GA  30577.
