Mrs. Rebecca Dean Kennemur, age 80, of Martin, GA, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 in Tiger, GA.

Born December 3, 1942 in Stephens County, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Joanne Richardson Dean.

Rebecca loved Jesus, her family, friends, her hometown, pets, and led a very active life. She was an active third generation member in her church, Martin Baptist, throughout her life. She went on mission trips to Nicaragua and many youth trips to SuperWow. Rebecca was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She had several careers with major companies and was a local computer expert to many friends. Rebecca enjoyed playing piano and sang in the church choir. She enjoyed very strong and close relationships with her Dean family.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Kesler Edwards; daughter-in-law, Lynn Kesler; brother, Brown Dean (JoEvelyn); her sister Terry Dean Edmonds (Bobby); brother in law, Ralph Clifton; grandchildren, Blake Edwards, Ashley DeGonia, Bart Halder and Luke Halder; five great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kennemur; a sister Melinda Dean Clifton; and her two sons, Don Steven Kesler and Russell Dean Kesler.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12noon – 1pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Martin Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Whiten officiating.

A private graveside service will be held at Martin Baptist Church Cemetery.
