Mr. Peter Xavier "Pete" Curry, age 69, of Martin, GA, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born June 16, 1951 in Syria, he was the son of the late Essa Daoud and Cheikha Mariam Zaal Khoury.

He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and retired from Stephens County Hospital in 2017.  Pete also managed several restaurants in Toccoa, Shoney's, Wendy's, and Burger King, for a number of years.

Family members include his wife, Vicki Barron Curry of the home; brother and sister-in-law, Salim and Nenita Khoury of Westminster, SC; nephews and their spouses, Sami and Jimmie Ann Khoury of Lavonia, GA, David Khoury and Ginger Rosenbach of Oregon, Nathan and Alisa Khoury of Long Beach, CA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Larry Cole of Dallas, GA; brother-in-law, Kenneth Barron of Colorado; Kendall Barron, son of Kenneth Barron and Robin Googe Barron of Florida, Carrie Peterson and Brad Fowler, children of Sandy Cole; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fouad Khoury; and a sister, Hilwa Khoury.

A memorial service will be held at two o'clock Saturday, October 24, 2020 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Brian Rockwell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kid's Alive International, (Near East  Boys Home "NEBH" in Lebanon) 2507 Cumberland Drive, Valparaiso, IN 46383.

Due to the conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, social distancing will be observed.  Those attending the service are encouraged to wear a mask.
