Mr. Paul Douglas Greene, Sr., age 81, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born February 12, 1942 in Shelby, North Carolina, he was a son of the late James Paul Greene and the late Dessie Mae Ledford Greene.  He was a retired fire captain for the DeKalb County Fire Department and was a member and deacon at Blue Creek Baptist Church in Cleveland, GA.

Family members include his wife of 63 years, Wanda Love Greene; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Douglas Greene, Jr. and Lynn, of Toccoa; two daughters, Wanda Renee Brevard of Toccoa, and Teresa Ann Morris of Dahlonega; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

The family will host a private memorial service at a later date.
