Ms. Patsy Ruth Haygood Stancil, age 71, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at her home. Born February 24, 1948 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Jones Franklin and Nellie Ruth Roberson Haygood. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, The Toccoa Women's Club, and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a beautician at Headquarters Beauty Salon, and was a loving mother and grandmother. Family members include her sons and a daughter-in-law, Cale and Krista Stancil and Kelly Stancil; granddaughters, Brooke Stancil and Brittany Stancil; her fiancé, Mike Russell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jonesy and Lorraine Haygood, Bill and Regina Haygood, and Mike and Glenda Haygood; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and caregiver, Carolyn McDonald. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday March 2, 2019 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Rusty Haygood, Andy Haygood, Jeff Haygood, Brandon Haygood, and Noah Dunwoodie. The Faithful Workers Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm Friday. Flowers are optional. Memorial donations may be made to Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Gideons.
