Mrs. Norma Elaine Templeton Maxwell, age 66, of Toccoa, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born July 30, 1955 in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was the daughter of the late Bob Lee and Betty Louise Greeman Templeton.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.  Many friends enjoyed Norma's cooking and spending time with her fishing and camping.  Norma's hobbies included rock collecting, crocheting, and making homemade Christmas gifts, which everyone loved.

Family members include her children, Kami Tench (deceased), Richard Martin Maxwell, Tonya Julianne Maxwell, and William Steven Maxwell (deceased); sisters, Trudy Nicol and Leigh Cowan of TN; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Monday, October 4, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from the Whitlock Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will follow at Currahee Baptist Church Cemetery.

Josh T. Maxwell, Josh M. Maxwell, Steven Pittman, Blaine Sears, John Henry Maxwell, and Mark Thomas will serve as pallbearers.

Due to community health concerns, we encourage those attending the service to wear a mask and to continue to practice social distancing.
