Mrs. Nellie Joyce McIntyre Carson, age 74, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at River Brook Healthcare Center in Homerville, GA.

Born June 24, 1949 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late L. T. and Estelle Standridge McIntyre.

Mrs. Carson was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker.

Family members include her daughter, Lisa Carson, of Martin, GA; sons, James Carson of Toccoa and Bradley Brock of Homer, GA; sisters, Betty Bohannon, Martha Webb, and Annie McIntyre, all of Toccoa; sister, Beatrice Dickerson of Habersham County, GA; grandchildren, Hannah Gettys, Austin Gettys, Kaylee Williamson, Kale Gettys, JT Carson, Brysen Finney, Mattisen Rucker and Brandon Brock.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carson was preceded in death by sisters, Jewel Haynie and Ester Shackleford; and brothers, Charles McIntyre and Donald McIntyre.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Pallbearers will be Randy Bohannon, Gary Bohannon, Brian Webb, Jonathan Randall, Russell Pruitt and Ronald Ledford.
