Mrs. Mildred Pilgrim Pruitt, age 95, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at The Oaks at Scenic View in Baldwin, GA.

Born October 24, 1929 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Silas and Sadie Elizabeth Tucker Pilgrim.

She was an administrative assistant at Coats & Clark, and retired with over 35 years of service.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa, and was named the 1997 Church Woman of the Year.

Family members include her daughter, Jackie Cobb (Marion) of Cumming, GA; son, Robert Pruitt, Jr. (Lesia) of Toccoa; grandchildren, Samantha Pruitt, Taylor Pruitt, Sadie Raine Pruitt, Nolen Sweet (Kelsey) and Ashley Sweet; sisters, Pauline Brown and Sarah Collins; brother, Roger Pilgrim; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cline "Jack" Pruitt, Sr., and daughter, Marilyn Sweet.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5pm – 7pm Monday, November 18, 2024, and from 1pm until the service hour on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at First Baptist Church Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church Chapel at two o'clock Tuesday, November 19, 2024 with the Rev. David Ritcey and the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the Oaks at Scenic View for their loving care, and give special recognition to special friend, Sue Berrong.
