Mrs. Mary Ann Slater Carter, age 77, of Toccoa, GA passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at The Oaks at Scenic View.

Born February 7, 1945 in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leonia Slocum Slater.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a homemaker.

Family members include her sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Teresa Carter of Toccoa and Scott and Tiffani Carter of FL; grandchildren, Katia Carter, Brittney Koprowicz, Rhianna Carter, Jimmy Carter, Kori Carter, Melanie Carter, and Justin Carter; sister, Martha Gilbert of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, William and Lynn Slater of Eastanollee; GA; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillard Rainey Carter.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 11am until 1pm on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Graveside services will be held at two o'clock Monday, September 26, 2022 at Middle River Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Gary Sandercock officiating.

Burial will follow.
