Mrs. Martha Ellen DeFoor English, age 86, of Martin, GA passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born November 18, 1938 in Westminster, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey and Velma Marsengill DeFoor.

Mrs. English was a retired Inspector at Lanier Clothing, and was a member of The Pointe Church.  She was a loving sister and aunt who loved her family; she and her sisters were always loving and very close.  She collected dolls, and she loved going on family picnics.

Family members include her sisters, Mary Ertzberger, Marian Motes and Mavis DeFoor; nieces, Debbie Ayers (Tommy), Patty Holland and Dianne Barnes (Kelvin); and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Darold English, and her nephew, Sidney Ertzberger.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 9am – 11am Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary at eleven o'clock Wednesday, August 20, 2025 with Pastor Chad Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Tommy Ayers, Kelvin Barnes, Michael Ayers, Wesley Ayers, Matt Segers and Jacob Segers.
