Mrs. Margaret Lee Brown Scott Leitgeb, age 90, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at her son's home in Ellijay, GA.

Born August 8, 1933 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Franklin and Willie Mae Allred Brown.

Mrs. Leitgeb was a wonderful pianist; she shared her ministry as the church pianist and secretary at Eastside Baptist Church in Winder, GA and at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Toccoa.  She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  In her earlier years, she worked at Belk and Toccoa Casket Company.  She was the WNEG Senior Woman of the Year in 2005.

Family members include her son, Charles Buron Scott (Lisa) of Ellijay, GA; daughter, Nancy Lynn Scott of Ellijay, GA; granddaughter, Christina Akins (David Bartlett); great-grandchildren, Marissa Akins, Levi Akins and Veda Bartlett; bonus great-granddaughters, Kaylee & Emma Deyton; sisters, Judy Harper (Norman), Mary McKinney (Harold) and Carolyn Scott (Randall); and brother, James Calvin Brown (Mary).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Buron Jack Scott, and her second husband, Al Julius Leitgeb.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until the service hour on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Saturday, May 18, 2024 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Pastor Mike Petty officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.
