Mrs. Marcia Cobina Mullins Coker, age 79, of Martin GA, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at MeSun Health Services in Lawrenceville, GA.

Born November 9, 1942 in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Dr. J. R. (Jethero) and Elizabeth Lester Mullins.

Cobina and her family moved to Toccoa, GA in 1951, where she graduated from Toccoa High School in 1960.  After graduating from Piedmont College in 1963, with a double degree in Chemistry and English, and a minor in Psychology, she married Bobby Truette Coker.  Bobby and Cobina moved to Austell, GA where they lived for 50 years.  She earned a Master's Degree from Atlanta University and Georgia State in Media and Information Services.  She was employed with the Cobb County School System for 30 years as a Media Specialist.  After retirement, they moved to Martin, GA.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Coker; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Bryan Coker and Deena; and two grandchildren, Emily Newton and Will Newton.

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Coker.

A private graveside service is planned.
