Lois Thomas
Scott
Dec 1, 1943 — Jun 6, 2020
Toccoa
Mrs. Mary Lois Thomas Scott, age 76, of Toccoa, passed away, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at her home.
Her journey began on December 1, 1943 in Franklin County, GA. She later moved to Toccoa, GA and attended Toccoa High School. Lois met the love of her life, Leon Scott in 1961 and married him in 1962. They settled down in Toccoa and started their family in 1970. Lois worked at Coats & Clark for 5 years and due to health reasons, she became a homemaker. Lois was an exceptional wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Lois stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. Lois always had a spotless house and dinner on the table by 5pm. She took pride in her role as wife and mother. Lois loved her family, coke, flowers, gardening, animals, and NASCAR. Her all-time favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. Lois and Leon enjoyed many races over the years. Lois never weighed much but she was feisty. She had many sayings but her favorite was "I need a coke". Lois will be remembered as a selfless altruistic wife and mother. She always sacrificed her needs for the good of her family. She was tiny but had the strength of a lion, never complained and always looked to a better future. She loved and lived every moment she was given, always grateful until God called her home.
"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7
