Linda Gail Brown Wood, age 80, of Eastanollee, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 22, 2026 at the home of her sister, Tilitha Collins, in Habersham County.

Linda was born on January 5, 1946 to the late Boyd Britten Brown and Mary Gwendolyn Burruss Brown in Eastanollee, GA.

Linda was a graduate of Stephens County High School. After her retirement, she was a caregiver to the elderly for several years.  She loved to cook cakes and she also loved dancing.  She enjoyed attending Zebulon Baptist Church and was a joy to be around.

She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Britten Brown; sister, Opal Coker; brothers-in-law, Don Collins and Billie Thomason; and future husband, Gene Hulsey.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Brent Wood; her sisters and brother-in-law, Frank & Elmo Andrews, Tilitha Collins and Omer Coker; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm-8pm Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Pastor Byron Kennedy officiating.

Graveside service will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Petty officiating.
