Mr. Lawrence Wertan, age 77, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born February 20, 1944 in Charleston, SC, he was the son of the late John Francis Wertan II and the late Erline Eugenia Bennett Wertan.

Mr. Wertan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a retired teacher with the Habersham County School System.

Family members include his wife, Terry McCracken Wertan; daughter, Jackie Wertan and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Frances Wertan, Harry Wertan, and Steve Wertan; and a sister, Jean Jakob.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 12pm to the service hour.

A service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at two o'clock Saturday, June 19, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Pastor Roland Vega officiating.

A reception will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Toccoa after the service.
