Mr. Justin Richard Carter, age 40, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at his home.

Born February 2, 1982 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of Danny Frank Carter and Karen Scott Carter.

He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and was a Machinist at Hitec Machine of Jefferson, GA. Justin and Deidra would have celebrated their 20 ^th wedding anniversary in December.

Family members include his wife, Deidra Carter of the home; son Blake Carter; daughter, Addie Carter, all of Toccoa; sister, Danielle C. Mize; grandmothers, Sara Carter and Patsy Van Alstine; father-in-law and mother-in-law Jimmy and Gail Forester; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Brandy and Jerry Frady; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Helen Ann Manley Carter.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Bill Stacey, the Rev. Fred Lodge and Mr. Shayne McFarlin officiating.

Burial will follow at Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Shayne McFarlin, Robert Murphy, Anthony Scott, Jason Elliott, Chris Vaughn, Willie Stephens, Shannon McFarlin and Matt Adams.

Joe Swaim, Andy Tatum, Jeremy Long, Caleb Shirley, and Jeremy Bemisderfer will serve as honorary pallbearers.
