Mrs. Joyce Taylor Segars Sheriff, age 87, of Eastanollee, GA passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born February 8, 1938 in Clarkesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Dillard Taylor and Ellie Jay Shirley Taylor.

Joyce attended Confidence Methodist Church and was a member of Tates Creek Baptist Church for many years where she played the organ and piano.  She was retired from Lawson Motor Company.  Joyce cherished her family and when she and Leonard married, she inherited a larger family to love.

Family members include her husband, Leonard Sheriff; sister-and brother-in-law, Phyllis Powell (Hubie); brother-in-law, John Garrison; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Hare (Richard) and Sandra Fulghum (Marty); sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher Sheriff (Stephanie) and Darian Sheriff (Ginger); nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Segars; son, Allan Sheriff; brothers, Henry Taylor, Jr. and Harold Taylor; and her sister, Elaine Garrison.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until 2:45pm Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday, July 6, 2025 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary.

The family will have a Private Graveside Service at Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Raleigh Fulghum, Cody Fulghum, Chad Davis, Keith Whitworth, Rick Poole, and Shannon Garrison.
