Mr. John Arvel Nicholson, age 76, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Born January 11, 1944 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Arvel and Edith Ploakis Nicholson.

He was a member of Currahee Baptist Church and worked for Old Castle Precast in Toccoa.

Family members include his sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Tammy Nicholson and Warren and Marsha Nicholson; brothers, Alec Nicholson and Cecil Nicholson; sisters, Lou Scroggs and Mary Sorrels; eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mirinda Rosetta Collins Nicholson; son, Mack Nicholson; and a grandson, Jay Nicholson.
