Mr. John Jackson Harrison, age 81, of Eastanollee, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at his home.

Born December 10, 1940 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Ernest Justus "Jack" Harrison and the late Mary Lou Walters Harrison.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and was a member of the Gideon's. Jackie was a retired School Teacher having taught in Stephens and Franklin Counties. He had also worked at Lee Arrendale State Prison.

Family members include his wife, Lavoyn Kesler Harrison of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Jacquelyn Hale, Kathryn and James Eller, of Eastanollee and Miriam and Robert Lawrence of Warren, RI; grandchildren, Joshua Hale, Sarah Bruce, Hannah Bohannon, Evan Lawrence, Cole Simmons, Greta Simmons, Kaira Lawrence, Hunter Hale, Adam Lawrence, and Addyson Lawrence; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Myers Harrison; and a great-granddaughter, Everleigh Hope Hale.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 4pm – 6pm Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

A service to celebrate Jackie's life will be held at six o'clock Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. David Sosebee, the Rev. Jerrell Beatty and Dr. James Lee officiating.

Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
