Mr. Jimmy Don Sims, age 71, of Toccoa, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born June 2, 1949 in Albion, OK, he was the son of the late Harold Sims and Joy Dupree Sims Johnson.

He was retired from Ingles and had also worked at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Quality Foods.

Family members include his children, Preston Sims of NE, Neil Sims of OK, April and Daniel Miller of OK, and Tara Marie Jimenez of NM; step-daughter, Amanda and Mark Price of Toccoa; brother, Nick Sims, Michael and LaDora Sims, Gary and Marilyn Sims, and Wesley and Esther Sims; sisters, Deborah and Gary Wilson, Carol Beaver, Donna and Ron Catterson, and Rose and Eddie Thornton; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Steven Sims and Phillip Sims.

Mr. Sims' wishes were to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
