Mr. Jerry Don Bennett, age 81, of Toccoa passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Born February 9, 1944 in Carnesville, GA, he was the son of the late Boyd Alvin and Joyce Viola Fulghum Bennett.

Mr. Bennett was retired from Coats & Clark with over 30 years of loyal and dedicated service.  After retirement, he enjoyed restoring Cushman motorcycles, peddle tractors and camping.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Family members include his beloved wife of 62 years, Bonnie Faye Sosby Bennett; sons, Donald Bennett and Brian Bennett (Tiffany); daughter, LaDonna Harris (Mark); grandchildren, Joseph Bennett, Casey Robinson, JoAnna Esco, Boyd Bennett, Chloe Bennett, Parker Bennett and Kenyon Harris; great-grandchildren, Xavier Robinson, Easton Robinson and Beck Esco; sisters, Joan Keller, Linda Williams and Maxine Bennett; and brother, Cary Bennett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Aaron Bennett, Steve Bennett and Danny Wells.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until the service time Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Memorial services will be held from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary at three o'clock Saturday, July 19, 2025 with Rev. Brandon Crunkleton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whitlock Mortuary, 120 Rose Lane, Toccoa, GA  30577 to help with final expenses.
