Mrs. Jeanne Shiflet Carithers, age 71, of Martin, GA, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at Stephens County Hospital.

She was born on September 24, 1953 in Toccoa, a daughter of the late Dr. Robert Shiflet and Helen Crisp Shiflet.

Mrs. Carithers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa and was retired from public school teaching where she taught with Clarke and Stephens Counties.

Family members include her husband, Bucky Carithers; her daughter, Whitney Frederick (Russ); son, Ryan Carithers (Brittney); grandchildren, Charlotte Strassel, Kendal Strassel, Britton Carithers, Reid Carithers, Olive Kronz; sisters, Yvonne Birchmore (Bob), Kay Kinnear (Kreg), Elaine Hightower (Avery); numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11:00 am to the service hour.

Memorial services will be held at one o'clock Saturday, December 7, 2024 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Brett Sanders officiating.
