Mrs. Janice Harrison Johnson, age 83, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Avery Village Assisted Living and Memory Care in Winterville, GA.

Born December 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Cohen Lamar and Jewell Keeling Harrison.

Mrs. Johnson was the Executive Secretary at UARCO (later known as Standard Register).  She loved serving at Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was a member.  She always enjoyed special fellowship time with the ladies in her Sunday School Class and with the Seniors group.  She was always so much fun on trips and during church events. She proudly worked with the Currahee Military Museum.

Family members include her daughters, Shannon McAvoy and Tracy Vandiver (Lane), both of Crawford, GA; son, Brandon Bailey (Lacey), of Hartwell, GA; grandchildren, Whitney Roberson (Jonathan), Clay Williams (Allie), Colt Bailey, Cayden Bailey and Beau Bailey; great-grandchildren, McKenna Roberson, Cash Roberson, Noah Williams and Ruby-Lynn Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, William Carl "Bill" Johnson, Jr.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 4pm – 6pm Friday, July 11, 2025.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
