Mrs. Jane Frances Marriott Higginbotham, age 88, of Eastanollee passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at her home.

Born November 25, 1936 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late James Francis and Edith Gertrude Beer Reed Marriott.

Mrs. Higginbotham was a retired school teacher; she taught in Stephens and Franklin counties. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for 25 years.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.  She loved reading, gardening and swimming at the Recreation Department, and she loved her family very much.

Family members include her sons, Douglas Higginbotham, Jr. (Heidi), Ty Higginbotham and Bob Higginbotham; sister, Pegge "Pokey" Sheffield; niece, Susan Sheffield; nephew, Phillip Sheffield; and great-nephews, Tripp Sheffield, Daniel Sheffield and Patrick Sheffield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Higginbotham, Sr.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12pm until the service hour on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday, February 28, 2025 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Tony Andrews officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

Phillip Sheffield, Tripp Sheffield, Daniel Sheffield, Patrick Sheffield, and David Smith will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 157 Moore Circle, Eastanollee, GA  30538 or to the International Missions Board at imb.org (designate specific mission or team as Josh Carpenter).
