James Randall "Randy" Walters of Cumming, GA passed away on Sunday, May 26th, 2024 at the age of 80.

Born November 8th, 1943 in Toccoa, GA where he excelled in sports and graduated at the top of his class in 1960 from Stephens County High School.  Following graduation, he became a lieutenant in the army and served during the Vietnam War.  After his service to the country, he had a career in paper manufacturing.  Before retiring, he worked for the Georgia Department of Labor.

Randy will always be remembered as a devoted husband, dad, and grandfather.  He had a passion for treating everyone with kindness and love ad would always do for others, never wanting anything in return.  His hobbies included wood working, planting flowers, basketball, but most importantly being surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his son, Connon Walters; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Kevin Waller; granddaughters, Caroline and Lindsay Waller; brothers, Harold (Carol) and Frankie Walters (Lynn); and sister, Kathy Crawford (Garry).

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Walters; father, Ira Odell Walters; mother, Dorothy Fay Turner Walters; daughters, Randette Walters and Melanie McCallister; and sister, Brenda Tillotson (Gary).

A special thanks to his caretaker later in life, Dyan Allen.

The family will receive friends at Eastanollee Baptist Church (78 Church Drive, Eastanollee, GA  30538) from 1pm until the service time on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Eastanollee Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Walters officiating.

Burial will follow at Eastanollee Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flowers are optional.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 123 W. Antrim Drive, Greenville, SC  29607.
