Mr. James Hoke "Sonny" Miller, age 78, of Toccoa, passed into the arms of Jesus at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 25, 2021.

Born May 18, 1943 in Stephens County, GA, he was the son of the late Robert Miller and Roscoe and Marie Collins Cobb.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Youth Bus Driver, and served on the Grounds Committee. James was retired from Patterson Pump.  He enjoyed family, church, motorcycles, gardening, and riding with the New Hope Born Again Riders.

Family members include his wife of the home, Diana Lynn Miller; daughter, Carol Haydu of Jefferson, GA; sons, Joseph and Amy Haydu of Dahlonega, GA, Tony Miller of Toccoa, and Steve Miller of Anderson, SC; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Gloria Cobb of Toccoa; brothers-in-law, Charles Henson of Jenkinsburg, GA and Dewey Holcomb of Clarkesville, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Monteen Henson and Joyce Holcomb; and by his brother, Roddy Cobb.

The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church from 1pm until the service on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Memorial services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Alexander officiating.

Due to community health concerns, we encourage those attending the service to wear a mask and to continue to practice social distancing.
