Mr. James Edward Lee, age 81, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home.

Born September 14, 1941 in Chamblee, GA, he was the son of the late James Gifford and Mary Elizabeth Brumbalo Lee.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ellijay, GA and was a United States Airforce and Navy Veteran serving 2 Tours in Vietnam. James served in the United States Airforce for 5 years and the United States Navy for 17 years and retired as Chief Petty Officer. He was also a member of the V. F. W. in Marietta for a few years.

Family members include his wife, Joan "G" Graham Lee of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Angel Lee of Toccoa; sister, Pat of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Crystal Shelton of Oglethorpe, GA, Kristin Lee of Lavonia, GA, Megan Lee of Tennessee, Amber Lee of Lavonia, and Danna Lee of Toccoa; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Lee.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 9am until 10:45 am Friday, March 31, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Friday, March 31, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Leonard Young officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy.
