Mr. James Herbert "Herby" Harrison, age 74, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at his home.  Born August 1, 1947 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Edward and Agnes Aderholt Harrison.

He was of the Baptist Faith and was a United States Air Force Veteran.  He was retired from Crane Trucking Company.  Herby loved the Georgia Bulldogs and motorcycles.  He loved his family and his country.

Family members include his wife, friend, and soul mate of 17 years, Oneta Gibson Harrison; children, Heather Free and Kevin of Tiger, GA, Scott Harrison and Jamie of Jefferson, GA; Kristie Tudor and Russell of Toccoa, Debbie Meisner and Jerry of Ellijay, and Jeff Lanoue of Atlanta; grandchildren, Katelin Free, Wesley Harrison, Hunter Harrison, Emily Harrison, Brian Taylor, Blake Taylor, Brandon Taylor, and Addison Lanoue; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Ken Struble officiating.  Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 noon until the service on Wednesday.
