Mr. James Rone Alewine, age 52, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at his home.

Born December 2, 1970 in Douglas, Michigan, he was the son of the late Charles and Peggy Sue Bloodworth Alewine.

James attended the Pointe Church and was a welder. He enjoyed working on cars, crafting and woodworking. James loved animals and visiting the humane shelter.

Family members include his wife, Sheila Jarrett of the home; daughters, Katie Grace Alewine of Bowersville, GA and Riley Suzanne Alewine of Albany, GA; step-son, Adam Hunter of Toccoa;
Grandson, Eli Trace Alewine of Bowersville; GA; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Randy Sullivan of Lavonia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Helen Jarrett of Toccoa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Corrie Jarrett of Toccoa; several nieces and nephews; his best friend, Wiley Roach; and his beloved little buddy, his dog, Oaklee Rae

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1 pm until 2:45 pm Thursday,
April 6, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at three o'clock Thursday, April 6, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Pastor Ken Buffington officiating.
