Mrs. Jacquelyn "Jackie" Kay Attaway Gower, age 80, of Toccoa passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born November 5, 1943 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of Elizabeth V. Bettis Attaway and the late Torres Elisha Attaway.

Mrs. Gower was a homemaker and loved gardening.  She was a member of the First Alliance Church in Toccoa.  She loved her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she loved Jesus.  She covered her family in prayer always.

Family members in addition to her mother include her husband, Horace "Glenn" Gower, Jr., of Toccoa; daughters, Reed McCroskey (Randall) of Toccoa, and Amy Stephens (Vic) of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Chad McCroskey (Kaitlyn), Lauren Kirby (Hunter), Peyton Stephens (Ali); Noah Stephens and Jackson Stephens; great-grandchildren, Camden Clark, Ada McCroskey, Titus Kirby and Callahan McCroskey; and brother, Robert "Bob" Attaway (Alice).

The family will have a private burial at Roselane Cemetery at a later date.
