Mr. Herman D. Norris, age 88, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at his home.

Born March 25, 1934 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Claude and Nora Gibson Norris. He was a member of Tom's Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Westinghouse, later known as ABB. Herman was a United States Army Veteran and he also served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 309.

Family members include his wife, Doris Hall Norris; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Steven Gulley; grandchildren, Allison Gulley and Matthew Gulley; sister, Jewell Elrod; brother and sister-in-law, Odis and Tina Norris; sister-in-law, Pauline Norris; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Slaton; and brothers, Alton Norris and Haskell Norris.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12 pm until 1:45 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday, December 29, 2022 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Wayne Marcus officiating. Masonic Rites will be given by Masonic Lodge # 309.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and V. F. W. Post 4346.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Ken Norris, Blake Norris, Matthew Gulley, Brady Bollman, David McCurley, and Steve McCurley.
