Mr. Henry A. Whitworth, age 92, of Martin, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at The Clary Care Center in Toccoa.

Born August 5, 1931 in Stephens County, GA, he was the son of the late Henry A. and Ellen Mulkey Whitworth.

Mr. Whitworth lived most of his life in Franklin County.  He was a heavy equipment machinist at RJ LaTourneau/WABCO, and he also farmed chickens and cows.  He was a member of Broad River Baptist Church.

Family members include his son, Anthony Whitworth (Amy Keener) of Martin;  grandson, Andy Whitworth (Elyse) of Dawsonville, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer Jordan (Ricky) of Ballground, GA; great-grandsons, Brantley and Bryson Jordan, both of Ballground, GA; and sister, Evelyn Sosby of Cornelia, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kirby Whitworth; son, Nick Whitworth; daughter-in-law, Cathy Whitworth; 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Te family will receive friends at the mortuary from 9:00 am – 11:00 am Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Saturday, December 9, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Brandon Crunkleton officiating.  Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Lavonia, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Broad River Baptist Church, 1050 Broad River Church Road, Eastanollee, GA 30538.
