Mrs. Helen Howe Addison Payne, age 93, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Manor Lake Hoschton.

Born October 15, 1930 in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Alice Norton Howe.

Mrs. Payne worked for R. G. LeTourneau's, and retired from Stephens County Hospital with over 30 years as a cook, server and cashier.  She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church.

Family members include her daughter, Renee Myers (Homer) of Talmo, GA; son, Mark Addison (Carolyn) of Colorado; grandchildren, Ashley Myers (Tisha), Britt Myers (Kirby) and Casey Addison (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Ana Myers and Tristan Myers; sisters, Jay Crump and Faye Peeples; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Day, Faye Payne and Nancy Payne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice Addison; her second husband, Edd Payne; and her daughter, Tonya Payne.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at one o'clock Friday, December 29, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Dr. Jesse Colbert officiating.  Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers:  Britt Myers, Ashley Myers, Casey Addison, Dale Crump, Larry Isbell and Jimmy Nichols.

Flowers are optional.  Memorial donations may be made to Sunnyside Baptist Church, 1154 Mize Road, Toccoa, GA  30577.
