Frank L. Payne age 93 of Lilburn, GA passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, he is survived by daughters Kay Weber of Atlanta and Julie Payne of Stone Mountain; grandchildren John Weber, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Taylor Weber of Tucker; great-granddaughter Jocelyn Weber; brothers Doyle Payne of Carrolton and William Payne (Suzy) of Atlanta; sister Sara Abrams of Seymour, TN; brother-in-law Marvin Addison (Catherine) of Toccoa, GA; and many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Geneva Addison Payne; parents L.L. Payne and Ozzie Payne; brother Loy Payne; and sisters Marjorie Page, Erlene May, and Dorothy Capps.
Born June 23,1932 in Carnesville, GA, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic. He worked as a long-haul truck driver for over 30 years and was a member of Teamsters, Local 728. He was a faithful member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Decatur. He is a member of Church on Main in Snellville and loved worshipping with his Church family. He was known for his faith, strength and kindness and always made those around him feel loved and cared for.
Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Tom M. Wages Funeral Home in Snellville Friday, July 11. Visitation from 1-3 pm at Whitlock Mortuary in Toccoa, GA on Sunday, July 13 with graveside at Tom's Creek Baptist Church in Martin, GA at 3:30.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Kidney Fund give.kidneyfund.org or Cru give.cru.org.
