Mr. Fermon Ernest Turpin, age 86, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at his home.

Born on April 25, 1936, he was the son of the late George Lester and Prather Williams Turpin.

Mr. Turpin was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and was a retired Roofing Crew Leader at John's Roofing & Sheet Metal.

Family members include son, Lamar Turpin of Toccoa, GA; grandson Jason Williams of Toccoa, GA; great-grandson Eric Williams of Dahlonega, GA; and sisters, Rachel Davidson of Gulf Shores, AL and Kathy and Marvin Boone of Clarkesville, GA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lucille Bolmon Turpin; daughter Donna Turpin Williams; and sisters Mary Frances Turpin and Mickey Turpin.

The family will receive family and friends at the mortuary on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am – 10:45 am on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

A Graveside service will be held at eleven o'clock Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Stephens Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.
