Mrs. Edith Cater Addison, age 89, of Toccoa, GA, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at The Clary Care Center in Toccoa.

Born April 20, 1934 in Hickory, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Noah Mitchell and Dessie Crumpton Cater.

Mrs. Addison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa and retired from Patterson Pump.  She was a member of The Eastern Star, enjoyed puzzles, and crafts.

Family members include sisters-in-law, Euline Johnson and Ophelia Fulbright; a brother-in-law, Melvin Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Blant Addison.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until the service hour on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at two-thirty Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Ritcey officiating.

Burial will follow.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Eddie Addison, Jr., Clayton Rider, Evan Rider, Cason Johnson, Billy Mote, and Jim Cater.

Flowers are optional.  Those desiring may make memorial donations to the First Baptist Church of Toccoa.
