Mrs. Dorothy Chatham Mooney, 87, of Eastanollee, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Ashton Senior Living.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 224 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Childs will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 26th from 1:00 until 3:00 and from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Born on March 29, 1937 in Buford, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Chatham and the late Helen Truehart Schrick. Mrs. Mooney was a retired nurse who worked for Dr. Miller. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Toccoa.

Mrs. Mooney is survived by her husband, James Mooney of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Mark and Charlotte Stephens of Statham; daughter and son in law, Theresa and Larry Johanson of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Karen and Chris Craft of Cornelia; 7 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
