Mr. David Allen Wilburn, age 78, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Hospice in Gainesville.

Born September 19, 1947 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late S. Q. and Mozelle Wilburn.

David was retired from Coats American and was a member of Tom's Creek Baptist Church.

Family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Steve Pruitt, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Hill and Tracy Vaughn, step-son, Richard Garner, daughter-in-law, Libby Wilburn; grandchildren, Oryan Garner, Colby Garner, Westin Hill, Kaitlyn Hill and Eric Galayea, Skylar Wilmont and Anthony Pressley,  Randy Wilburn and Ashley, Michael Wilburn, Toni McDonald and Cory, Cortney Wigley, David Byargeon and Ayla, Miranda and Cameron Simmons; Stephen Pruitt and Melissa Heenan, Keri Holbrooks and Kele, and Stevie O'Barr and Lucinda; sister, Frances Wilburn; brother, Carl Wilburn; sisters-in-law, Cathy Hardman and Eddy and Amy Caudell and Kenny; brother-in-law, Dennis Whitlock 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Whitlock Wilburn; his son, Allen Wilburn; sister, Alice Simpson; brothers, James Wilburn and Buford Wilburn.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until 2:45pm Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

David Byargeon, Stephens Pruitt, Cameron Simmons, Oryan Garner, Richard Garner, and Westin Hill will serve as pallbearers.
