Mr. David Sanford Pressley, Sr., age 69, of Toccoa, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his home.

Born June 9, 1953 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Sanford Wade and Mamie Louise Pressley.

David was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and was a self-employed Brick Mason.

Family members include his wife, Loretta Day Pressley; son and daughter-in-law, David Sanford, Jr. and Nikki of Toccoa; daughter, Paige Pressley and Jeremy McCallister of Toccoa; granddaughters, Lana Pressley, Danica Pressley, Lorelai Pressley, and Ruthy Jean McCallister; sisters, Blondean Bennett and Betty Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Pressley; and sisters, Adriane Minnie Moore and Hylon Peeples.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Monday, April 17, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty, the Rev. Timmy Griffin, and Mrs. Nikki Pressley officiating.  Burial will follow at Rock Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

Blake Day, Barrett Smith, Alan Fuller, Devon Holder, Josh McIntyre, and Josh Horton will serve as pallbearers.  Kendall Peeples, Wayne Chambers, Glenn Jordan, Leon Lathan, Tim Pressley, Sandy Bennett, and Freddy Head will serve as honorary pallbearers.
