Mr. David Michael Koon, age 74, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at his home.

Born October 3, 1951 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel Frank Koon and Margaret Louise Leedom.

Dave was a Christian and was retired from the United States Air Force with 24 years of service.  He served during the Vietnam Conflict.

Family members include his daughters, Frances Chafin of Toccoa and Elizabeth Koon of Richmond, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Koon (Ida), Roger Koon (Diane), Daniel Koon (Judy), Bryan Koon (Linda); step-brothers, David Yetter (Georgette) and John Mark Yetter (Jeanne); grandchildren, Anthony Chafin and Emily Chafin; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous stray cats.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 12noon until the service time Friday, February 20, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o'clock Friday, February 20, 2026 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary.
