Mr. David Raymond Elmer, age 74, of Toccoa passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Born January 30, 1951 in Greenfield, MA, he was the son of the late Herman and Helen Elmer.

Mr. Elmer was a music pastor at First Alliance Church, and was a textile planning manager at Milliken Textiles.

Family members include his wife, Ida Marcy Elmer, of Toccoa; son, D. Scott Elmer (Jennifer), of Toccoa; daughters, Christy E. Fritz (Joshua J.) of Athol, MA, and Cheri L. Smith (Ethan C.) of Athens, GA; sisters, Diane Johnson and Nancy Elmer; and sister-in-law, Karol Elmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Elmer, and his granddaughter, Aurora Joy.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 7pm – 9pm Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

Memorial donations in memory of Mr. Elmer may be made to the charity of one's choice.
